Privacy & cookies

The short version: Turra has no analytics, no advertising trackers and no third-party cookies. Nothing on this site loads from another company's servers. You can use the whole site without an account, and if you create one you can delete it yourself at any time.
Who runs this site
Turra is a personal project, not a company. It's run from Ireland, which makes the operator the data controller under the GDPR. For anything in this policy — including a request to see or delete your data — email privacy@turrasports.com.
Cookies and browser storage
Turra stores three things, all set by this site itself and none shared with anyone.

You can remove the two local-storage items yourself with Clear watchlist in the sidebar, or by clearing site data in your browser.
Why there's no cookie banner
Consent is required for cookies and similar storage that aren't necessary for a service you asked for — analytics, advertising and tracking, essentially. Turra doesn't use any. The three items above are either required to sign you in or exist purely to remember a choice you made, which the ePrivacy rules exempt from consent. Showing a banner whose only real option is "OK" would be theatre, so we've told you plainly instead.
If you create an account
Accounts exist for one reason: syncing your favourites across devices. We store your email address, a scrambled version of your password (a salted hash — the real password is never stored and can't be recovered from it), your favourites, and the date you signed up. The legal basis is performing the service you signed up for.
We keep this until you delete your account. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days, and email verification and password-reset links expire within 24 hours and 1 hour respectively; expired and used ones are deleted daily.
Server logs
Like almost every website, the web server records each request: your IP address, the time, the page, and your browser's user-agent string. This is used to keep the site running and to spot abuse (the legal basis is legitimate interests). Logs are kept for 14 days and then deleted.
Aggregate visitor counts are kept longer to see whether the site is growing, but those are just numbers — no IP addresses or anything identifying a person.
Who else is involved
- Resend sends verification and password-reset emails, so it processes your email address for that purpose.
- Hetzner hosts the servers.
- The Odds API supplies betting prices. Turra's server fetches these — your browser never contacts them, and they receive nothing about you.
- Sports data sources and news feeds (the GAA, League of Ireland, BBC, ESPN and others) are read by Turra's server on a schedule. They receive nothing about you.
We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. There's nobody to sell it to — there are no advertisers.
Links to other sites
Match cards link to news articles, official sources and — when odds are switched on — bookmakers. These are ordinary links: nothing loads from those sites unless you click, and Turra earns no commission from them. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
If you're in the EU or UK you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how it's used, or receive it in a portable form.
Deleting your account removes your email, password hash and favourites immediately and permanently, along with any sign-in sessions and pending email links. Email privacy@turrasports.com and it'll be actioned. Server logs containing your IP aren't linked to your account and age out on the 14-day cycle described above.
If you think your data has been mishandled you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Children
Turra covers schoolboy and schoolgirl football, so match listings include the names of underage teams — this comes from the leagues' own published fixtures. Accounts aren't intended for under-16s, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change with it.
